Sable von Steiner is a 11 month old beautiful rare sable long haired German Shepherd. Sable is as sweet as they come, he is so gentle and quiet. He is a medium size boy and weighs around 65, we feel unless he has more growing to do, he could weigh 75 pounds when filled out. The volunteers decided he should be a therapy dog, sitting on green grass having Sable gently lick your face was rejuvenating to tired volunteers.There is something so innocent and pure about him. He was so calm walking through a crowded animal hospital waiting room. Everyone was trying to control their dogs, we felt so superior with our perfect dog who waited his turn like a perfect gentleman. Sable walks by your side step by step. He hasn't been trained, he is just looking for a person to belong too. He met cats and many dogs and was fine. Betty who is a very exuberant 6 month old puppy was all over Sable and he just tried to get his bearings and then wanted to play. Sable is such an angel.
